* Direct from Home * Gypsy literally opened the back door, bursting into his current owner’s quiet country life and hasn’t left since. They have become firm friends. He thinks Gypsy is about 2.5yrs old and has him nearly a year now. Initially Gypsy chased all the feral cats away but they are back and he’s living side by side with them incident free now. Unfortunately Gypsy’s chosen owner is emigrating for personal reasons and is in the process of having to choose Gypsy’s new forever home now. Friends & relatives had kindly offered to take Gypsy but they all have dogs and Gypsy doesn’t get on with any of them. Gypsy is dog aggressive so would need to be an only dog (Gypsy still needs to be neutered.) Whatever happened in Gypsy’s life before arriving at that back door last October also made him very afraid of children so he’d need an adult only home too. Gypsy very obviously adores his chosen human so would be a super loyal companion and he is very affectionate. Here is some more of what his current owner had to say about him.... I took Gypsy in as a stray last october and after weeks of trying to find his owners I was unsuccessful. During that time I grew very fond of his wonderful nature but over time unfortunately I discovered he was very aggressive with other dogs. Initially he had very bad separation anxiety which has improved a lot over time. I also found him to be somewhat distrustful of children so he would not be suitable to live with children either. In spite of these issues I have a very heavy heart in handing him over, I’m going to be working abroad very soon and could be gone a year, only for that I would be more than happy to keep him as he has been a fantastic buddy and makes me laugh. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill in an adoption questionnaire and a member of the rehoming team will be in contact. Once we've had a chat an appointment can be made to meet the dog.
