MADRA rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs.

At MADRA Dog Rescue, we are on a mission to rescue and care for abandoned and unwanted dogs in Ireland. Our dedicated team of passionate animal lovers work tirelessly to provide these furry companions with a second chance at happiness.

By offering shelter, medical care, and love, we strive to find each dog their forever home, where they can thrive with a loving family. Join us in making a positive impact and changing lives, one paw at a time. Together, we can create a brighter future for these loyal friends who deserve a chance to be cherished and loved.

Help us make a difference. There are lots of ways to help.

You could Volunteer and spend time at our shelter, socialising and walking our furry friends. If you enjoy event planning, why not organise a fundraiser in support of MADRA. Every contribution counts! Alternatively we love to welcome corporate visits where you and your colleagues join us for a day to give back and make a positive impact on our shelter. Our kennels are always at capacity with dogs at different stages of rehabilitation. Fostering a dog helps them transition to life outside the kennel and adopting a dog gives them the love and forever home they deserve. We also welcome donations to continue our care for homeless dogs. Together, we can wag more tails and bring happiness to our four-legged friends.

Meet Our Dog of the Week!

Posty is a sweet, energetic boy with a lovely personality. He is currently working on his lead and harness skills and is making good progress.

He can be a little nervous when meeting new people and may need some time to feel comfortable with you. Once he gets to know you, he is a lovely, affectionate boy.

Posty is a real working collie boy and enjoys having things to do. He mixes well with other dogs but can be a little too playful for some. He would benefit from patient guidance and continued work on his social skills. He absolutely loves enrichment feeding and enjoys using his brain to work for his food, so this is a great way to keep him happy, occupied and mentally stimulated.

Posty is a wonderful young dog who will thrive with someone who can give him plenty of patience, guidance, enrichment and opportunities to burn off his energy.
