€2500 raised for MADRA!

A big thank you to all our supporters who turned up for the walk yesterday.

And a round of applause for Eileen Keleghan who organised everything, and Annie & Henner Meiss for kindly sharing their beautiful farmland with us.

MADRA Dogs on the Bog WalkThe day was fine, the valley looked stunning and the MADRA dogs hugely enjoyed all the attention and exercise. This will definately be an annual event as we think most people had a good day and we raised a whopping €2500.

MADRA kennels closed Sept 1-15

MADRA kennels will be closed to the public from Sept. 1st to Sept. 15th for staff training and kennel maintenance. We will not be taking dogs from the public at this time and will be unable to answer phone calls. We will however try to answer all email enquiries.

Any urgent cases will have to go through the local dog warden or other similar bodies to ourselves. We'll be back in action on the 15th and will have new dogs up on website at this time!

Mission Statement

MADRA is a Connemara based dog rescue & re-homing facility whose ultimate and overall aim is to ensure that all dogs have permanent, loving homes. MADRA works to educate members of the general public to have a responsible attitude towards dogs and their welfare and to help create a world where no healthy, good-natured dogs are killed merely because they are considered to be a surplus number.
