Thank You!

A big THANK YOU to all you volunteers who gave up a sunny bank holiday Friday to help us with our street collection. We got a great reception from passersby and a some very generous donations. The total raised on the day was a massive 1374.02 Euro which will go towards building a new enrichment area in the kennels. The aim of the enrichment area is to alleviate boredom in kennelled dogs and entertain them using their brains which should help them to settle better and avoid "kennel stress"

The Big Spring Raffle Winners Announced

We had a great nights entertainment at Barking Bingo on Wed night and a big thank you to all who turned up to support us.

We held the draw for the Big Spring Raffle and the prize winners were:

1st Prize Mara Murphy, Oranmore

2nd prize J Kielthy, Carlow

3rd Prize Caroline O' Toole, c/o Glenina vet clinic, Renmore

There were several other winners on the night and I think almost every table went home with at least one prize!

We would like to give a big thanks to James Harris who MC'd on the night and had us all in stitches, also to Marion Heery who was busy organising things behind the scenes.

And, of course, to all of you guys who bought tickets and turned up on the night!

We raised a whopping 733 Euro on the night and the raffle has brought in almost 2000 Euro. This will go a long way towards vaccinations and medical care for the dogs we take in dogs from the pounds. Thanks!

MADRA is a Connemara based dog rescue & re-homing facility whose ultimate and overall aim is to ensure that all dogs have permanent, loving homes. MADRA works to educate members of the general public to have a responsible attitude towards dogs and their welfare and to help create a world where no healthy, good-natured dogs are killed merely because they are considered to be a surplus number.
