MADRA @GeoffandLinda @Pet_Connection Geoff and Linda and Tally, you have been so good to us already recently, we really,… https://t.co/fkf5EKOUdT
There are all kinds of stories about shelter dogs who have beeen worn down by a life of neglect who suddenly spring to life after getting a fresh coat of compassion. This is Bullet and he is at the start of his new life story. We picked him up from the pound recently. His tiny little body was covered in mange and his deep brown eyes conceal a story of neglect that we will never understand. Despite his ordeal in life to date, Bullet likes to play with his toys and he loves a good game of tug. He loves being up on a lap getting a fuss. He likes other dogs too. He is only around nine months old so he is still very puppyish, he will chew hands and has an obsession with buttons and shoes! He loves his own bed and will go into bed at night-time and his foster family don't hear a peep out of him during the night. He does at least one or two wees in the house the odd time, like when he is excited or getting fed, other than that he goes to the toilet outside. Due to his past, he can be protective of his food, which is totally understandable but we are sure in time, with guidance, he will understand that food won't be scarce..... He is very inquisitive, like with the guinea pig in his foster home, so we think it is best to avoid re-homing him with smaller animals. Overall, Bullet is a resilient boy who is now a very happy boy. He can bark a bit at people when they come in to the house but as soon as you say hi to him and pat him he goes quiet. His mangy head looks awful but he is a lot more comfortable now and getting better day by day. Bullet is a happy little chap who really loves his cuddles. Now we just need to find Bullet his happy place. A forever family who will love and cherish him. He will quickly fill your home with joy and your hearts with love. He just needs the chance.
